Mar 2007: Air Arabia held an inaugural ceremony
of its first flight to Karachi at Transit Restaurant, Jinnah
Terminal. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Adel Ali CEO Air
Arabia, Senator Babar Ghori; Federal Minister for Ports and
Shipping , Senator Nisar Memom; Chairman defense Committee
Senate of Pakistan , Senator Asif Jatoi; Member Defence Committee,
Senate of Pakistan, Airport functionaries and Board of Directors,
Gerry's Group.
Air Arabia LLC, the first low-fares airline
in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced its flights
schedule for 2007 for its two new destinations in Pakistan.
Air Arabia Chief Executive Officer, Adel
Ali said: Air Arabia is proud to add Karachi and Peshawar
to its destinations. This step is part of our strategic commitment
to offer value for money service to the region. We are confident
that adding these two destinations can effectively cater to
the large number of the Pakistani community living out side
of Pakistan and to offer an alternative cost effective travel
for customers in Pakistan.
Operations to Karachi start officially on
the 6th of March with frequency of three flights a week. Departing
Sharjah at 11:45 and arriving Karachi at 14:35 local time.
Flights depart from Karachi at 15:20 and arrive Sharjah at
16:15. Frequency will increase to 4 flights per week effective
3rd of April.
Operations to Peshawar start officially
on the 7th of March with frequency of two flights a week departing
Sharjah at 12:40 and arriving Peshawar at 17:00 hrs local
time. Flights depart Peshawar at 17:45 to arrive Sharjah at
20:20. Frequency will increase to 3 flights per week effective
3rd of April.

Aleppo, Damascus and Latakia (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut and
Luxor (Egypt); Amman (Jordan); Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan);
Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah
and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Istanbul (Turkey); Kabul (Afghanistan);
Katmandu (Nepal); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Chennai, Jaipur,
Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram (India); Muscat
(Oman); Sana'a (Yemen); Sharjah (UAE); Tehran (Iran) and Yerevan
(Armenia).
