Gerry’s acquires Virgin Nigeria on 1st June 2006 with effective from 1st August 2006. The agreement was signed by Mr. Arshad Wali Mohammad (Group Director) from Gerry's International and Mr. Mike Higgins (Director Sales and Outstations) from Virgin Nigeria. The Virgin Nigeria’s 49% share has been taken over by the Virgin Atlantic and a 51% share is of Public investment. The routes visited by VK (Virgin Nigeria) are Lagos, Acura, Johannesburg, Abidjan, Port Harcourt, Douala, Dakar and Kano. There are three flights a week from Dubai to Lagos on Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays, departures at 1120 am arrivals at 1620 .
